Step off your cruise ship in Picton and join our tour to explore and enjoy Marlborough wine country, famous for Sauvignon Blanc and other award-winning varietals. This tour is specifically designed to fit your cruise ship timetable. Small group (maximum of 10), guided by a knowledgeable local, touring at a gentle pace.

Itinerary
Departing from the Picton I-Site, this guided Jade Wine Tour takes you in an air-conditioned minibus (maximum 10 people) to the Wairau Valley for a personalised tasting experience. Visit 4 wineries to sample Marlborough’s famous Sauvignon Blanc and other varietals, learn about different styles and how the grapes are turned into award-winning wines.
We stop for lunch at a vineyard restaurant (own cost) with menus featuring local delicacies including mussels, salmon and wild game. If time permits, we finish with a visit to a boutique chocolate factory.
Throughout your tour you’re hosted by locals who are keen to share their wine knowledge and enthusiasm for Marlborough.
The tour usually leaves Picton at 9.30am but each tour is planned around the specific arrival and departure times of your cruise ship. Our itinerary makes the most of your time ashore, allowing you to enjoy the wine and scenic vineyard landscapes while ensuring we are back at Picton in good time to board your ship.
