Itinerary
Your tour guide will collect you from your accommodation in our comfortable air-conditioned van before heading out to the ‘Golden Mile’ of Marlborough vineyards in Rapaura.
We visit 4 winery cellar doors for comprehensive tastings of Sauvignon Blanc and the region’s other internationally acclaimed varietals including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Méthode Traditionelle.
Jade Tours focus on family owned wineries with stories to tell behind each wine, and a vineyard walk also helps explain the conditions and viticultural practices that go into producing high quality wine.
Our guides are all locals, keen to share their knowledge about the wine industry and anything else you want to ask them about the region in general. The tour is at a gentle pace, with time to enjoy a winery lunch (at your own cost) featuring Marlborough specialities such as mussels, salmon and wild game.
The day ends on a sweet note with a visit to the boutique Makana Chocolate Factory to taste exquisite hand-made chocolates, some of which include local wine in their ingredients. With chocolate purchases on board, we head back to Blenheim to drop you off at your accommodation.
