Our Home

We live in a lovely, quiet cul-de-sac in the leafy suburb of Springlands, only 3 kms from the centre of Blenheim. The guest wing of our Family – friendly home consists of one double bedroom with a private bathroom / shower and separate toilet.  You have full access to our open plan kitchen and the lounge area has SKY TV for your use. This leads out to our fully enclosed private North-facing garden with its lawn and myriad flowers, bushes and trees which attract the birds. BBQ facilities are available on our patio. You have free access to our ultra-fast fibre broadband Wifi. Our heat pump keeps those chilly winter nights at bay and there is an electric blanket and oil heater in the room.

We provide a complimentary scrumptious continental breakfast and you have full access to our kitchen facilities if desired.  Free off street parking is available. We are a Smoke Free home.

You are most welcome to just relax and enjoy the quiet or you can mingle with us and swap stories of (Rugby!) home, travel, music or the cat next door.

Safety Features

After the Covid-19 crisis, the room is carefully cleaned according to recommended Governmwnt health guidelines, after every visit. We encourage hand washing and social distancing as much as possible, for your safety. The house has no stairs and has easy access from the front and inner garden doors. We have several strategically placed smoke alarms and a fire extinguisher and first aid kit readily accessible.

We love sharing our home, but we do ask that behaviour is respectful and considerate of others.

We appreciate you leaving the kitchen clean and tidy after use.

Our Neighbourhood

We live a short 5 minute drive from all the amenities of Blenheim. The new ASB Theatre opened in March 2016 and hosts all the premium shows for the Top of the South Island. The Taylor River and Pollard Park are a short walk away and both are ideal for walks or biking – we have 2 adult bicycles available for hire. The Speight’s Alehouse is a pleasant stroll away and is ideal for family orientated meals or just a couple of drinks in the evenings. We are happy to advise on all the facilities available in Blenheim.

Blenheim

Most visitors arrive by road but the airport (10 minutes) and Picton ferries (25 minutes) make the journey here both fast and scenic. Our home is on the Nelson side of town. Transport can easily be booked – we have a new luxury 12 seater minibus.

We are professional tour guides  and would be happy to discuss your expectations of activities whilst in Blenheim. We operate daily Wine Tours to the award-winning cellar doors of Marlborough.
