A scenic tour around some of the Boutique Local Producers to get insights into the skills of their trade. This can include learning how and why BEES make honey, how to craft liqueurs or beer and how succulent OLIVE OIL can come from such bitter fruit. Learn the intricacies of a NUT farm, see how the nuts are harvested and processed into oils.
Visit a local SHEEP FARM, play with the lambs (July – September) then join the hosts making felt or carding / spinning wool and join a singalong while admiring the Driftwood Art.
Marlborough Artists have an open studio trail and visits can be arranged. Sculptors, potters, painters, glass and ceramic craftsmen will welcome you. Polish your own piece of Paua to take home.
The Falcons are always fascinating as they fly and hunt freely.
Lunch on the River Queen can be included as she drifts down the river.
Take a stroll through a hidden secret Wetland or around the Taylor Dam, listening to birds and watching the swans glide regally past. Amble in the Wither Hills or wander along the Taylor River as it meanders through Blenheim. Enjoy a Picnic in our beautiful Pollard Park and take time to smell the Roses.
